3/7-3/21 Prayer Points

Opening Prayer: The past few days have been tumultuous, for both our country and the world, and while we may feel the need to panic, we must remember that God holds the world in his hand. We thank him for the recovery and guidance he is giving us, as we face the hard circumstances of today.

1. Let's continue to pray for the spread of the coronavirus. The coronavirus has now officially been named Covid-19 by The World Health Organization. Covid-19 that originated in China has now spread to 88 more countries apart from China, with 3,491 confirmed deaths. Thus far, The United States has 330 confirmed cases. Once again, we thank God that “by his wounds, we are healed,” Isaiah 53:5 NIV. “He himself bore our sins, in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed,” 1st Peter 2:24.

2. Let’s pray together for our new Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. President Trump made an announcement Friday, March 6th, that Rep Meadows, R-N.C., is becoming his new White House Chief of staff, replacing the Mick Mulvaney who is moving to become the United States Special Envoy for Northern Ireland. We pray God’s guidance and grace over him at this time as he walks in transition in this position, “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers,” Proverbs 11:14.

3. Let’s pray together for the Tornado in Tennessee that stuck Nashville. On March 3rd, tornados ripped through Tennessee neighborhoods killing at least 24 people and destroying 140 buildings. Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee declared a state of emergency and sent the National Guard to help and rescue. Let’s pray for recovery, healing, and protection in Tennessee, “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord,” Jeremiah 30:17.
